The Certi-Fire Advantage

Certi-Fire is a program, recognized by the Ontario Fire Marshal, that certifies licensed electricians to test, verify, and maintain fire alarm systems. Certi-Fire electricians meet standards set out under the Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code, and Ontario Fire Code. They undergo extensive training, which includes academic classroom sessions as well as practical hands-on classes. Recertification is required every five years, keeping all Certi-Fire electricians up to date on the latest fire alarm technology, regulations, and best practices. Certi-Fire electricians are qualified to address your fire alarm and electrical needs, building a consolidated relationship that can save you time and money.

About Certi-Fire

The Certi-Fire program is open only to licensed electricians in good standing and is taught by instructors who themselves are certified electricians. Certi-Fire has been an evolving program for 20 years and is supported by the Joint Electrical Promotion Plan (JEPP), which is managed and funded by the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO) together with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Construction Council of Ontario (IBEW CCO).
